Job details page imageChange management specialistContract TypeRegular (US only)Work patternFull timeFederal Way, WAMott MacDonald is searching for a change management specialist with an initial assignment in the Federal Way Link Extension project field office, working with a diverse team of professionals for a major design-build transit project in the Seattle area. This individual would report to the Deputy Project Manager and Project Controls Manager and will be the primary coordinator for change management processes and workflows as well as related clauses of a design-build contract. The successful candidate must be able to balance simultaneous demands and work in a fast track design-build project environment.Responsibilities:Perform contractual evaluation and/or validation of changes raised by Design Build ContractorProvide support to the project management team to administer the contract between the Owner and Design Build ContractorPrepare and present Change Status Reports when requiredEnsure DB Contractor is compliant with contract terms and conditions in relation to change management processPrepare documentation for change order negotiations packagesCompile full change order packages including justification, executive summary, estimates and check listsUpdate Oracle Primavera Unifier for revised changes and add new changes to Unifier.Prepare, maintain, retrieve, and communicate records, reports, or documents required to meet contractual requirementsCoordinate closely with engineering, scheduling, Resident Engineer and construction management teamsCandidate SpecificationThe ideal candidate for this position will have the following qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred5+ years experience preferred, with a focus in heavy civil/infrastructure/transportation projectsStrong hands-on experience with MS Office toolsExperience in Oracle Primavera Unifier is an assetSound Transit experience a plusStrong interpersonal skills in order to work effectively as a team with peers, management, DB Contractor and OwnerHighly organized and ability to process multiple changes in parallelExperience in contract administrationProficiency in English (spoken and written)Good knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and toolsJob ProfileHere at Mott MacDonald, we are experts in engineering, management, and development services supporting multisector project work in over 150 countries.
