Location: Everett, WA 98204

Job Type: Full-time Consultant (6 Months)

Shift: Monday to Friday, Core Office Hours: 9 AM - 3 PM

Pay Rate: $69.17 per hour

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to support the design and integration of electrical components and wiring harnesses in commercial aircraft interiors. This role is crucial in ensuring that electrical designs meet industry standards, performance targets, and FAA regulations while working within a cross-functional Integrated Project Team (IPT).

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and integrate wire harnesses into aircraft monuments, ensuring compliance with OEM, FAA, and vendor requirements .

• Develop and modify CAD drawings (NX) to verify fit, form, and function of electrical and mechanical designs.

• Oversee electrical component integration , including designing brackets and fixations as needed.

• Verify system configurations and block diagrams while ensuring adherence to weight, cost, and performance targets .

• Work collaboratively in an Integrated Project Team (IPT) to define scope, schedules, and project deliverables.

• Provide technical oversight to outsourced resources involved in electrical integration tasks.

• Troubleshoot field data, manufacturing pickups, and engineering issues to ensure smooth operations.

• Evaluate materials and parts for use in new designs and liaise with suppliers for quality assurance.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Aerospace, or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.

• 3-5 years of experience in wire harness design and integration for commercial aircraft.

• Proficiency in NX (3D modeling) and AutoCAD 2D drawings for wire routing and modeling.

• Strong understanding of FAA regulations and aircraft-specific wiring specifications.

• Ability to design for manufacturability, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

• Experience with mechanical routing of electrical harnesses, hydraulic lines, or other systems is a plus.

• Prior experience in commercial aircraft interior electrical systems is highly preferred.

This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.

Pay Details: $69.17 per hour
