Actalent Wire Installation Designer I in Everett, Washington

Description:

Interfaces with external and internal customers to develop and maintain wire harness detail, installation, and bundle assembly. Identifies solutions for 2D and 3D wire harness installation designs and incorporates new process changes to design plans. This is an entry level designer position that relies upon

guidance of more experienced engineers/designers.

 Develops and maintains Wire Harness physical design and installation (e.g. 3D wire harness installation models, wire harness assembly models and 2D formboard drawings)

 Performs assigned tasks meeting the organization's expectations for quality, schedule and process compliance

 Supports analysis and design reviews

 Applies program technical requirements to design work requirements, processes, and tasks

 Supports the development of processes, methods, and tools that support the design process

 Communicates and/or implement design solutions, integrating design changes as needed

 Identifies design issue; communicates issues to more experienced designers/engineers

 Provide feedback to solve problems using ingenuity and innovation

 Regular, predictable attendance is required

 Adheres to safe work practices and contributes to the evolution of the health, safety, and environmental program and culture

Skills:

Design, cad design, CATIA, electrical installation, mechanical installation, aerospace, Aircraft

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Required:

 High school diploma required

 Typically has up to 3 years of experience in an engineering classification

 Experience or exposure to CAD design in work or school environment

 Able to understand technical data

 Capable of resolving design issues by means of problem solving methodologies

 Experience with 2D and 3D CAD design (e.g. CATIA, AutoCAD, Pro-Engineer)

 Ability to learn and work with MS Office computer applications

 Fluent in English (Written and verbal)

Preferred:

 Associates degree ideal

 3 years Aerospace industry
