Propulsion Controls Engineering's (PCE) purpose is to provide the highest quality services to meet the needs of our customers while ensuring a safety and beneficial workplace for our employees. PCE has a current opening for a Full-Time Welder I, at our Bremerton, WA location.Job Summary:Lays out and fits pipe and/or structural components for fabrication and repair in accordance with established drawings and welding procedures.Essential Functions:Lays out and prepares base metals using air and power tools.Reads and properly interprets blue prints and drawings.Demonstrates knowledge of gas line safety and fire prevention.Fabricates and templates new assemblies utilizing SMAW, FCAW, GTAW or BRAZE.Other duties as may be assigned.Job Requirements and Qualifications:Education:High School or equivalent level preferred.Experience and Knowledge:Minimum of 2-4 years of practical welding experience, preferably within the marine and/or shipyard industry.Must demonstrate knowledge of general hand tools as well as those common to welders/fitters (grinders, die grinders, angle grinders, basic welding machines, etc.)General Information:PCE is an "at will" company.PCE is a "Drug Free' company.
