Everett Engineering Operations Warranty has an exciting opportunity for a motivated and driven level 2/3 engineer to join our team! The team supports all twin aisle BCA programs (747/767/767-2C/777/787).
In this role, the candidate will gain technical experience with engineering across the entire airplane, and also throughout the value stream, and have many opportunities to expand their network. The candidate will also develop strategic thinking, leadership and project management skills, and the ability to communicate with diverse functions, from working level through senior executive.
The primary statement of work includes leading the technical investigation and development of technical reports resulting in a warranty determination for high profile warranty projects that involve complex airplane systems.
The team SOW includes the following:
Technical investigation of warranty issues with variable complexity that potentially have large financial impacts
Technical coordination and resolution of complex issues
Technical report development
Warranty engineering representation at program and cross functional forums
General project leadership and cross functional support
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
“This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed locations options”. Everett, WA.
Position Responsibilities:
Participates in the development and management, and performs limited analysis of process and product baselines.
Works under general direction to coordinate and conduct product and subsystem level technical design reviews and audits for new and derivative products.
Performs routine analysis of product trades and/or changes and assists in the development of change proposals.
Participates in the development and implementation of Configuration and Data Management standards, processes, systems and tools.
Utilizes data gathered from customers to assist in the definition of Configuration and Data Management requirements for product hardware, software and engineering design data systems.
Assists in the integration, routine analysis and resolution of issues with engineering product structure.
Assists with the development and implementation of engineering technical program plans of limited scope including impacts, risks and incorporation of lessons learned.
Works under general supervision.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Requires an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Comfortable in a leadership role, with a desire to grow leadership skills
Motivated self-starter, proactive problem solver
Ability to collaborate with diverse team members
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Broad understanding of the Engineering function and overall BCA value stream
Strong project management experience
Familiar with Boeing fleet support products and services (MBF – Service Bulletin/SL etc.)
Technical background in Boeing Product Structure (ENOVIA/PDM), Manufacturing Systems (CMES/Velocity), basic familiarity of airplane systems

Early Career: (Level 2): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Experienced: (Level 3): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
