Primary Responsibilities:

  • Produces high quality diagnostic ultrasound with the ability to recognize visualized anatomy and pathology following established protocols and ordered examination

  • Explains procedures and observes patients to ensure safety, comfort and confidentiality during scan, keeps patient physically covered whenever possible

  • Evaluates images for technical quality

  • Maintains the cleanliness of the ultrasound machine, transducers and associated minor equipment in accordance with the infection control policies and procedures

  • Consistently uses and reinforces proper body mechanics and appropriate personal protection equipment

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience

  • Graduation from an ultrasound program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Programs (CAAHEP)

  • Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in the specialty areas of Abdomen and OB/GYN ultrasound, or registry eligible

Washington Residents Only: The hourly range for Washington residents is $28.03 to $54.95 per hour.
