*SUMMARY: *Under general supervision, the Training Coordinator is responsible for maintaining accurate documentation in all employees' training files per FAA regulations.  Supports all training functions, including scheduling, coordinating, word processing, database entry and statistical analysis updates. Performs other HR administrative tasks based on location.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintains accurate records and reports in accordance with FAA regulations.  Files, sorts, and posts information both electronically and on paper.
  • Distributes reports, rosters and mail.
  • Coordinates/schedules training amongst instructors, business units, customers, and students to include requirements, classrooms, times and communicates changes.
  • Types reports, business correspondence, application forms, certificates, confirmation letters, employment summaries and other materials.
  • Makes copies of classroom materials, trainee files, airline correspondence, and other business documents.
  • Keeps management informed of significant changes and issues effecting the department.
  • Proctors written and computerized tests.
  • Provides guidance to assist personnel in formatting documentation to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Assists with preparation for internal, FAA, and customer audits.
  • Provides authorization letters to RII inspectors of customer and aircraft limitations and corresponds with customers to obtain RII Authorization for Quality Control.
  • Notifies supervisory and inspection personnel of periodic sign-off requirements within training file as specified by the FAR's and dependent on job classification.
  • Orders office supplies for department use.
  • Arranges travel, lodging, and transportation for instructors and internal students.
  • Scans students into job codes.
  • Performs other HR administrative tasks as required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Six (6) months office experience preferred.
  • Associates degree preferred.

PHYSICAL EFFORT AND DEXTERITY:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to sit; use their hands and arms; and talk or hear; and focus on objects close up.  The employee will also be required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Compensation

The base salary for this position is $22.00-$30.00 (expressed as hourly for non-exempt), exclusive of benefits or potential bonuses. The lower end of the range represents the target base pay for those beginning or developing in the role. The higher end of the range is intended for those who have mastered the role, with proven significant expertise, high achievement, and specialized skills.
