Description Supervisor Pharmacy Technician - Providence Medical Center Everett - Colby SCHEDULE: 1.0 FTE; 40 hours per week. Days; Monday-Friday. As a Pharmacy Technician Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the operations of the pharmacy department and ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of pharmaceutical services. You will lead a team of pharmacy technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices. Your role is essential in maintaining the highest standards of patient care while managing workflow and prioritizing tasks within the pharmacy. Responsibilities include: Supervise and provide leadership to a team of pharmacy technicians, including hiring, training, and evaluating performance. Monitor medication dispensing processes to ensure adherence to proper procedures and quality standards. Support pharmacy automation including automated dispensing cabinets, RFID tagging, and medication repackaging Audit controlled substance diversion reports in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements. Stay updated with industry developments, new medications, and changes in regulations to ensure compliance and provide training to pharmacy technicians as needed. Implement and enforce safety protocols and best practices to minimize errors and promote a safe working environment. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and professional growth among pharmacy technicians. Required Qualifications: Coursework/Training in Pharmacy Technician Upon hire: Washington Pharmacy Technician License Responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining sound business practices that sustain or improve ambulatory pharmacy profits at or above industry benchmarks Why Join Providence?
