The Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA), BCA organization is seeking a proactive Subject Matter Expert Product Data Management Specialist to join the team in Everett, WA.

This position will focus on supporting all activities related to Boeing’s Digital Transformation specifically focused on interactions with the suppliers across BCA, as well as, the Enterprise.

This position helps develop system architectures in an integrated environment to ensure seamless integration and collaboration with suppliers.

Successful candidates will work in a fast paced environment, working both independently and as part of team to develop and deploy capabilities that support Program start-up and sustaining activities. Strong oral and written communication skills, the ability to resolve cross-functional issues, and the ability to “see the big picture” are ideal.

This position is an onsite position. The selected candidate will be required to perform work onsite in Everett, WA.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate Digital Transformation (DT) and Model Based Engineering (MBE) system development for supply chain focusing on engineering interactions.

  • Partner with ALEI, IT, and DT teams with a focus on supplier impacts, benefits, and incorporation of new bedrock IT systems including (3Dx, SAP, MBE, MOM, etc.).

  • Team up with various DT/MBE value stream teams to ensure engineering capability development is incorporated into supply chain.

  • Applies experience and knowledge of Engineering processes to the development and deploy DT / MBE solutions, including the tools, processes, and training needed to utilize the capabilities on a Program and at Suppliers

  • Responsible for developing requirements and capturing use cases, performing trade studies, developing, integrating, and testing new and modified capabilities in support of the MBE/DT solutions with integration to supply chain

  • Identify any existing pain points and/or lessons learned from production programs that should be included in DT/MBE activities.

  • Lead various DT/MBE value stream teams where Supply Chain and Engineering interaction exists

  • Lead or integrate SC MBE implementation for BCA and partner with Enterprise contacts

  • Explore feasibility of an enterprise document management repository for data/ MBE models exchange with suppliers enabling SC MBE, One Data Management System (ODMS) and other projects/systems

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 8+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience in aerospace

  • Experience in IT development

  • Experience in Model Based Engineering

Typical Education/Experience:

AA degree in related discipline and typically 15 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
