Job Description

Role Overview This position is for an established Structural Engineering professional. Conducts range of activities associated with analysis to develop design options or recommendations for products and processes. Designs new products and processes, performs structural engineering analysis, and provides technical support.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Interface loads analysis, Static test plan, Static test reports and comparative analysis.

  • Experience in structural analysis of composites and metals.

  • Experience in simplifying complex structural engineering problems with simple 2 D free-body-diagram and performing comparative analysis

  • Generate finite element models or rigid body analysis using Nastran (or equivalent software). Experience in performing Nastran Sol 101,103 etc. Conducts analyses and follows procedures to develop design options or recommendations for structures, systems and components.

  • Conducts analyses to develop options or recommendations for organization products.

  • Reviews layouts and drawings to ensure clarity, completeness, conformity to standards, procedures, specifications, and accuracy of calculations and dimensioning.

  • Designs new products and processes and improves and maintains existing products ensuring scientific principles applied result in a high-quality product.

  • Applying scientific principles, performs structural engineering analysis including dynamics and loads, stability and stress fatigue.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR

  • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience OR

  • In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
