Description We are searching for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in the healthcare industry, located in Everett, Washington. This role involves a hands-on approach to general ledger accounting, journal entries, and other related tasks. This position offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Handle general ledger accounting tasks efficiently and accurately.

• Prepare and record journal entries.

• Use Microsoft Excel for data entry and financial report preparation.

• Conduct financial analysis and prepare detailed reports.

• Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.

• Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.

• Liaise with other departments to improve financial procedures and ensure the accuracy of financial data.

• Comply with all financial regulations and standards in the healthcare industry.

• Assist with other accounting projects as needed. Requirements • Candidate must possess a thorough understanding of General Ledger and its applications in the healthcare industry.

• Proficiency in creating and posting Journal Entries is required.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel is a must, including the ability to create spreadsheets, use advanced formulas, and perform data analysis.

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is necessary.

• Previous experience working as a Staff Accountant or a similar role in the healthcare industry is preferred.

• Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail are necessary.

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are required.

• The ability to work independently as well as part of a team is essential.

• Candidate must be able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

• Knowledge of accounting software and databases is beneficial.

• A professional certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) is preferred.
