What You’ll Do

This position will research and analyze the impact from tax law changes in the United States and performs technical tax review on US domestic, international, and state tax calculations. This position will assist in the design and implementation of tax planning projects by providing quantitative analysis, modelling the impact from anticipated projects, transactions, and proposed U.S. and international tax legislation. You should also be comfortable in a fast paced, ever-changing environment. Additional responsibilities may include:

  • Review/prepare international tax calculations including E&P calculations, PTEP, GILTI, FDII, Subpart F, BEAT, 163(j), CAMT, section 197 assets, section 988/987 fx gain/loss, and FTC.

  • Review/prepare US and OUS outside and inside tax basis of CFCs and DREs

  • Research and document relevant tax laws regarding positions taken on tax returns and financial statements.

  • Review/prepare quarterly and annual tax provision workpapers and US International tax compliance portion of the US consolidated federal tax returns.

  • Support Fortive’s M&A activities including planning, modeling, and tax analysis.

  • Support Fortive’s operational transfer pricing and corporate tax planning modeling and tax analysis.

  • Assist with income tax audits and associated information requests.

  • Support internal teams by providing subject matter expertise and informal training.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Accounting

  • 8+ years of progressive corporate or public accounting experience in corporate income tax

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s in Taxation and/or CPA preferred

  • Results-oriented, technically curious, and values effective collaboration

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Excellent analytical ability

  • Comprehensive understanding of US International tax principles

  • Experience in corporate income tax research

  • Experience with both large Corporation and Partnership income tax

  • Experience with Corptax

  • Experience with Alteryx, PowerBI, and similar automation tools

  • High level of demonstrated proficiency with MSFT Office Suite

This position is also eligible for bonus as part of the total compensation package.

The salary range for this position (in local currency) is 122,000.00 - 170,000 - 226,600.00 . Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors, including, but not limited to: job-related knowledge; skills; experience; and other eligibility factors such as geographic location. The Total Rewards package includes competitive base pay and an opportunity to enroll in a variety of benefit programs, generally including health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and several programs that provide for both paid and unpaid time away from work.
