Our client, a leading manufacturer in the aerospace industry is seeking a talented Software Engineer for their Everret, WA location. This candidate will be working closely with the Engineering team that supports audio and airborne electronics product development. A Bachelors Degree or equivalent is required along with a minumium of 2 years of revelant experience working in the medical or aerospace industry. Must have Project Management training. Having Earned Value Management Training is a plus.

responsibilities:

  • Development of real-time embedded software for safety critical aerospace systems

  • Requirements definition, design, and verification to DO-178 development standards

  • Work with system and hardware engineers to arrive at optimal designs that meet customer requirements

  • Solve clearly defined problems; use new techniques; evaluate and recommend technical solutions based on standard or accepted technical practices

  • Perform necessary work to accomplish task/team objectives within overall cost and schedule

  • Assist with and/or coordinate projects; Accountable for meeting schedule completion dates or for providing timely feedback when dates cannot be met

  • Enhance the success of projects by contributing innovative ideas
