Fortive Corporation Service Supervisor in Everett, Washington

Overview of role: As a Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for directly managing a team of Service Technicians, ensuring the on-time delivery of Calibration and Repair services. You will oversee that a productive and safe work environment is maintained for your team, with first time quality. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of the dynamics of working within a customer facing service environment. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to drive operational excellence, foster innovation, and contribute to the continued growth and success of our service operations on a global scale. Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

  • Manages a diverse team of technicians, based on customer demands and market conditions.

  • Responsible for ensuring processes are adequately staffed to deliver to customer expectations, while also maintaining productivity and related expenses.

  • Drives results through the daily use of the FBS tools, enables the team to perform continuous improvement activities.

  • Assists Organizational leadership in identifying growth opportunities and through structured problem solving subsequently improving productivity & delivery KPIs. Must be able to effectively communicate to Lab management and senior leadership on escalations and related impact to business processes.

  • Supervise and carry out improvement initiatives including capital acquisition proposal and expenditure tracking.

  • Advise and coordinate across cross functional teams to maintain service product life cycles. This includes new product integration as well as customer care during the transition through service periods.

  • Creates a team atmosphere that is intellectually challenging and leads to accomplishing more than expected.

  • Implement and execute plans to retain, engage & professionally develop a high performing quality workforce. This role will own their respective teams employee engagement and retention metrics.

  • Fosters a challenging and engaging work environment. This leadership role is responsible for employee engagement and a healthy, collaborative work culture.

  • Routinely addresses quality issues to root cause, and documents in the related systems to close corrective actions on-time. This role will routinely handle customer inquiries or escalation support based on service backlog & experience.

  • Interact with and influence multiple support areas such as quality, engineering & metrology, to maintain our ability to meet customer commitments and/or increase employee productivity.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Engineering disciplines or relevant years of applicable experience.

  • Experience in project management preferred.

  • Experience leading a diverse team.

  • Proven experience building and sustaining professional relationships.

  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and through writing.

  • Shown ability to balance multiple priorities at once.

  • Experience in FBS (Fortive Business System) or Lean/Six Sigma tools certifications highly preferred.

  • Experience in a Service or customer facing industry preferred.

The salary range for this position (inclusive of sales incentives/commission) is $67,700.00 - $125,900.00. Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors, including, but not limited to: job-related knowledge; skills; experience; and other eligibility factors such as geographic location.
