Providence St. Joseph Health Senior Laboratory Assistant in Everett, Washington
Description Responsible for phlebotomy and processing of appropriate samples for testing, to include:1) computer inquiry and entry to maintain patient demographics as well as test ordering details in multiple computer systems in accordance with compliance guidelines; 2.) Processing and preparing samples for testing at PRMCE laboratories and Patient Service Centers. 3.) Processing, preparing and packaging samples for delivery to reference labs. Required qualifications: Coursework/Training and Completion of a Phlebotomy course (including completion of a 4 week internship in Phlebotomy in a clinical laboratory setting) Or combination of education and directly related work experience. Coursework/Training and Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Course Or or six months of related laboratory work experience and eligible for DOH Medical Assistant-Phlebotomy license Coursework/Training If job assignment requires driving to another facility, complete Defensive Driving course within 6 months of hire and every three years thereafter.
