The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Computing Architect to join the team in either Everett, WA; Kent, WA; or Seattle, WA .
Boeing Information Technology is looking for a Senior Computing Architect to join our Engineering Systems Product Data Management team in the Puget Sound. In this role, you will partner with internal development teams, functional engineering teams, and supplier technical teams to develop and maintain Boeing's current and future state primary product data management tool.
A successful candidate will be comfortable leading cross functional technical teams, designing and integrating system architectures, and working with vendors to bring new technical capabilities into Boeing.
Position Responsibilities:
Modernize Product Data Management (PDM) system
Migrate from existing production Hewlett Packard Unix (HPUX) and International Business Machine (IBM) Unix (AIX) infrastructure to Windows or Linux-based infrastructure
Support the application replacement projects
Redesign interfaces/integrations
Work with software lifecycle patterns
Support Application Integration (AI) redesign
Engagement with vendors and system integrators for design and migration to future systems
Design, support and champion the future state architecture and roadmap in collaboration with Engineering partners
Work with Design and Manufacturing processes
Work centered around Information Technology (IT) infrastructure
Additional Position Responsibilities:
Define requirements and designs and verifies robust architecture, data and information management systems and components
Establish design constraints and ensures architecture conforms to requirements
Incorporate architecture functions into software development lifecycle
Lead the development and configuration management of architecture views and models
Assess of feasibility of architecture solutions and alternatives
Perform trade-off analyses
Evaluate products to assess suitability for integration into delivery system environments
Draft data and information management products and service standards
Assess impact of architectural decisions to product lifecycle
Contribute to architecture and data/information management standards and strategies
This position is hybrid. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's degree in a technical, engineering, or STEM field
3+ years of experience with systems integration design differences between applications and platforms and DevSecOps design/development
3+ years of experience interaction with business architects, IT function architects and business executives
3+ years of experience troubleshooting, researching, isolating and then resolving issues with multi-layered technology in a demanding production environment
3+ years of experience creating and maintaining computing architecture diagrams
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience with Development Operations (DevOps)
5+ years of experience with data structures, data migration tools, and multiple DBMS, e.g. Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Teradata
5+ years of experience software testing including automated testing
3+ years of experience with moving production of Hewlett Packard Unix (HPUX) and International Business Machine (IBM) Unix (AIX) infrastructure to Windows or Linux-based infrastructure
3+ years of experience with requirements management
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.).

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $130,900 – $177,100
