Job Description

The Sales Manager for Korry Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) products is a key member of Esterline Control and Communication System (ECCS) Sales team and primary interface with Tier 2 and Tier 3 customers for Korry standard off the shelf components including push-button switches and night shield filters. The Sales Manager participates in the elaboration of ECCS’ commercial growth strategies and is responsible for the implementation of the COTS business Sales action plan in close collaboration with the business units. The Sales Manager is responsible for Korry’s COTS business booking forecast accuracy and achievement of the component Sales plan.

*Some of the Primary Responsibilities: *

  • Develops strong relationships with Korry COTS business target tier 2/3 accounts and existing customer base
  • Works closely with Product management to market Korry COTS capabilities on dedicated sales campaigns.
  • Works closely with the aftermarket Sales team to assist in the elaboration of business cases and ensure that aftermarket plans are integrated in the Bid response strategy.
  • Manages and supports outside Sales representatives for Korry COTS Sales in the assigned business scope.
  • Remains engaged on booked programs to ensure that customer issues are addressed smoothly and efficiently.
  • Provides accurate forecasting for short and long term bookings and maintains a sales funnel for tracking new COTS business opportunities.
  • Communicates and presents critical data, report summaries, market analysis, and strategic recommendations to all levels of management
  • Generates managerial deliverables in accordance with ECCS reporting requirements.
  • Supports functional strategy development in support of the business
  • Identifies department issues, problems, and opportunities to support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensures compliance to Department of Commerce Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and Department of State International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Few of the Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of the Aerospace and Defense market.

  • Solid understanding of COTS sales and channel management principles
  • Successful track record in leading a Sales action plan with outside sales representatives and distributors
  • Proactive, Self-starter, customer focused and solution mindset. Ability to think out of the box.
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills
  • Outstanding planning and organizational skills.
  • Excellent presentation, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiar with trade compliance, contracts and operations in a manufacturing environment. Education/Previous Experience Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor degree, preferably in Engineering or Business. MBA would be a plus.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in technical selling in Aerospace and Defense.
  • Successful track record in leading a Sales action plan with outside sales representatives and distributors
  • Prior experience working for a provider of Human Machine Interface products would be an asset Work Hours/Travel

  • Exempt status

  • Expected travel up to 50% of the time domestically
