Seattle Children’s Hospital Registration Coordinator in Everett, Washington

Responsibilities The role of the Registration Coordinator is an essential part of the patient facing registration experience by providing support and ensuring each patient encounter is positive, professional, and efficient. The primary function of this role is to create new registrations and check patients in for scheduled and walk-in clinical visits throughout the outpatient setting of the hospital. Support may be needed for Urgent Care, Radiology, and Access Clinic check-ins, operating seven days per week, during both day and evening times. Registration Coordinator duties also include: scheduling patient return visit appointments, minimizing clinic access delays, effectively communicating with patients/families, informing of and collecting signed consent for care, maintaining standards for infection prevention, and establishing systems and resources to improve processes and efficiency of the patient experience. Requirements Required Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent experience. Minimum of one (1) year customer service and/or administrative support experience. Required Credentials: For staff that work in schools, prior to the start of employment, individuals are required to submit a copy of a receipt directly to Human Resources (electronically) confirming they have completed the fingerprinting process as outlined by the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI). Preferred: Bachelor's Degree. Minimum of three (3) years experience working in a health care setting or related field. Significant experience working with the general public in a health care/customer service environment. Familiarity with other cultures/bilingual skills.
