[]{#_Hlk15270516}SUMMARY: The Quality Control Manager (CMP/PMA) is responsible for the operation of PMA and other assigned business units of the Quality Control (QC) department. Ensures compliance with appropriate directives that are set forth in the FAR's, customer GMM's, company policies, PMA Quality Manual, Supplier Quality Manual,  and the Repair Station Manuals (RSM).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensures proper execution of airworthiness determinations and approvals for return to service.
  • Manages departmental resources to ensure appropriate levels of support are provided in assigned locations and business units.
  • Maintains an ongoing quality improvement plan focused on improving the reliability of the maintenance and QC process.
  • Manages the review, completion and timely update of all Repair Station and PMA inspector training records maintained in the training department.
  • Maintains expense and labor expenditures within company budgetary guidelines and manages project related financials such as billable efficiency and labor cost.
  • Authorizes individuals to become qualified Repair Station and PMA inspectors through reviews of training and testing.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • []{#_Hlk15452178}Associates or Bachelor degree in related field preferred.
  • F.A.A. A&P license required.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years large transport category aircraft maintenance experience and four (4) years supervisory experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior experience in FAR Part 145 inspection preferred.
  • Prior experience in FAR Part 21 parts manufacturing and STC preferred.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

Carries out managerial responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, interviewing and training; development of technical and leadership skills; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

PHYSICAL EFFORT AND DEXTERITY:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to sit, stand and walk; use their hands and arms; and talk or hear; and focus on objects close up. []{#_Hlk15452254}The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Compensation

The full base pay range for this position is $109,000.00 -- $163,000.00 per year, exclusive of benefits or potential bonuses. The lower end of the range represents the target base pay for those beginning or developing in the role. The higher end of the range is intended for those who have mastered the role, with proven significant expertise, high achievement, and specialized skills. If you are hired at ATS, your salary rate will be based on factors including skills, education and experience.
