General Job Description

Dogwood Industries LLC is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join our team in Everett, WA. A successful candidate will demonstrate understanding of quality control procedures and key elements of the inspection process and documentation thereof, while leading the quality control team.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Generate Quality Assurance (QA) documents
  • Oversee the creation and updates of standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to quality assurance processes
  • Collaborate with production and engineering team to resolve quality issues and reduce the rate of product defects
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Maintain quality control records, documents, and logs
  • Execute and document specific test plans
  • Issue, maintain and distribute accurate drawings
  • Lead and manage the quality assurance team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or vocational degree
  • 4+ Years of experience in quality assurance
  • Experience with CAD software
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and shop drawings
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage change along with competing priorities
  • Fluency in English with excellent written and oral skills
  • Proficiency in standard Office computer applications

Qualifications

  • Experience reviewing documents and drawings for completeness, redline corrections
  • Experience in steel fabrication or general construction

* Physical Requirements/Work Environment*

This position requires moderate physical activity in a manufacturing and office environment. To perform the essential functions of this job, the employee is frequently seated at a computer desk, is utilizing a cell phone, and participating in meetings with colleagues. Walking extended distances from location to location in the factory complex and meeting with people in noisy or congested areas will be a common occurrence. The employee must be able to reach overhead, able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, squatting; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance for extended periods of time. Be able to lift, pull and push material and equipment to complete assigned job tasks. Be able to lift 40 pounds of weight throughout assigned workday if required. The employee will be exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, fumes, and odors.  

 

Compensation

$80,000 - $105,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
