This aerospace company in Everett, WA is a world class manufacturer of multi-axis milled, turned, and assembled aerospace components. Founded in 1974 this company recently expanded into a new 60,000 square foot, state of the art, climate controlled facility and is seeking a Quality Inspector to join the team.
Position: Quality Inspector
Location : Everett, WA
Pay : DOE
The Quality Assurance (QA) Inspector maintains quality standards by approving incoming materials, in-process production and finished products within the manufacturing environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Approved incoming material by confirming specification, conducting visual and measurement test, rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
Documents product acceptance/rejection on manufacturing order, processes appropriate rejection documentation if necessary, and performs move function in MRP system.
Verifies dimensional conformance of manufactured & purchased products.
Verifies physical appearance of product prior to chemical processing for conformance of engineering specifications.
Reviews outside processing certifications of nondestructive testing, chemical processing, and finish; verifies physical appearance of final product for conformance to engineering specifications.
Audits procedures and processes of shop inspection.
Follows all safety guidelines established by the Company, including proper use of safety equipment and relevant safety procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education, Skills and Experience :
Minimum of 3-5 years QA experience in a regulated industry
Ability to read & interpret Engineering Drawings
Working knowledge & application of GD&T
High school diploma or equivalent
Hands-on inspection experience in the aerospace industry
Trade school or college courses in related fields (e.g. CMM, blueprint reading, GD&T)
