The Boeing Company Mid-Level Corporate Investigator in Everett, Washington

Boeing Corporate's Ethics and Business Conduct organization is seeking a mid-Level Corporate Investigator to join our dynamic team. This position is located in Everett, Washington, USA.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Executes Ethics and Business Conduct investigations, including behavioral and ethical misconduct investigations, of a low to medium complexity level

  • Prepares a preliminary investigative plan to spot issues, determine the investigative scope, as well as identify and employ needed resources (e.g., budget requirement, special equipment, computing forensics)

  • Utilizes standard investigative procedures to review and analyze reported information to determine if it is within the investigation scope of responsibility

  • Gathers preliminary investigative data (e.g., witness testimony, electronic data, physical evidence) to assess the validity of the allegation and determine the allocation of further investigative resources

  • Executes the preliminary investigative plan by utilizing basic or advanced investigative techniques by gathering data and employing subject matter experts to prove or disprove the allegation(s)

  • Gathers and analyzes data, and makes recommendations on operational improvements and risk mitigation

  • Briefs stakeholders (e.g., Reporting Party, Human Resources, Management, Ethics) periodically on case status, as well as relevant findings during the course of the investigation on a need-to-know basis as determined by the sensitivity of the investigation or as mandated by the Boeing Law Department

  • Creates a concise written report detailing the factual outcome of the investigation, as reported in the electronic case management system, by utilizing an approved standardized format

  • Advises concerned parties of investigative findings (e.g., Law, Ethics, Human Resources, Employee Corrective Action for follow-up action/adjudication/documentation

  • Provides support to business partner engagements and Ethics strategic initiatives

  • May conduct training in support of Ethics initiatives

Typical Education/Experience:

Bachelor's and typically 6 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Qualifications:

  • The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 3 or more year's of experience conducting investigations and managing the investigative process to include conducting interviews, collecting data & facts, and analyzing to identify trends and/or discrepancies

  • 3 or more year's of experience writing investigative reports utilizing proper writing mechanics, grammar, and punctuation, as well as providing testimony before review panels or courts

  • This position supports a 24/7, 365-day operation; must be able to support investigations outside standard working hours, as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or higher

  • Experience in a corporate investigative or public-sector internal affairs role, performing formal employee and business-related internal investigations

  • Experience investigating employees in a unionized workplace

  • Experience investigating work defect and/or damage claims

  • Experience investigating retaliation claims

  • Experience investigating time misuse and/or time mischarging claims

  • Experience using forensic investigative tools and software

  • Possession of a valid Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and/or Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) credential
