The Certification System Process & Tool Integration team is seeking a Mid-Level Agile Product Owner - Regulatory Administration & Airworthiness (Level 3) to join the team in Everett, Washington. The Certification System Process and Tool Integration team is centrally responsible for integration of certification processes and tools across our One Boeing BCA/BDS/BGS. Team members grow to become experts in the certification business and solve technical issues across the certification value stream. We are owners of processes and documents, manage change and drive efficiency/ease of compliance from a variety of sources. The team and leadership encourage innovation and forward thinking solutions in an autonomous atmosphere.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop, own, maintain, communicate, and execute to the Product Vision and Product Roadmap.

  • With collaboration of stakeholders and team, prioritize backlog of development and in production features/enhancements

  • Own and regularly groom the product backlog and able to answer questions about specific bugs/User Stories

  • Facilitate planning/prioritization efforts

  • Report on development progress and raise concerns regarding performance to plan

  • Be part of a small Product Owner team and working with the Regulatory Administration and Airworthiness (RA&A) Business System Manager contributing to overall IT tool architecture

  • Active role in facilitating transition from current state to future state of RA&A IT tools supporting Digital Enterprise

This position is considered hybrid. Some telecommuting is allowed, however onsite work will be required at the listed location in Everett, Washington.

Note: The expectation for this role is 3-4 days onsite in Everett, Washington and 1-2 days remote.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 4+ years of experience web application development, management and/or maintenance including requirements management

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher

  • Experience with software/hardware equipment management

  • Experience making engineering proposals based on data analysis and forecasting wide reaching and longer term impacts

  • Experience communicating verbally and in writing, to a variety of audiences including FAA representation, ODA Leadership, Engineering Unit Members (E-UM) & Project Administrators (PA), and Program & Functional Leaders

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience, 9 years' related work experience, etc.)
