CTTX Health is currently looking for a compassionate and experienced Medical Psych Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team on a permanent basis. As a Medical Psych RN, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized care to patients with psychiatric conditions in a medical setting.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in psychiatric nursing.

  • BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.

  • Excellent clinical skills and ability to handle psychiatric emergencies.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Knowledge of psychiatric medications and treatment modalities.

  • Experience in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

  • Strong assessment and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients with psychiatric conditions.

  • Administer medications and provide therapeutic interventions.

  • Monitor and document changes in the patient's mental health status.

  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.

  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding their mental health conditions and treatment options.

  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and treatment planning.

  • Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
