Job Description

As a Material Strider you’ll ship, receive, package, count and route material, complete associated paperwork and/or operate machinery such as pallet jack, etc.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate shipping and receiving and material handling transactions with appropriate individuals/departments.

  • Responsible for assigned picking inventorying, and packaging. Route packaging materials to proper departments.

  • Maintain necessary records and files of transactions, verifying accuracy of shipments against bills of lading, invoices or other records on Oracle or other systems.

  • Arranges stock to best advantage for efficiency and accessibility. Adheres to all safety rules and may use pallet jack and other material moving tools and moving machinery.

  • Deliver product from receiving to the appropriate destination.

  • Kanban bin fill and execution

  • Sustain material presentations in the cells utilizing client specifications

  • Performs inventories; physically perform and transact cycle counts of materials.

  • Reconcile bad counts with assistance from Senior Material Handler.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of material and Kanban execution experience

  • Experience working in lean, continuous improvement manufacturing environment.

  • Accurately follow standard work

  • Able to stand/walk for up to 10 hrs per day

  • Able to lift material no heavier than 40 lbs on occasion

  • Work as a team member and foster a cooperative team environment

Pay Details: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour
