BR&T is seeking Manufacturing Systems and Simulations Engineer (Level 2) to join our team in Everett, Washington .
Assists with the development, documentation and maintenance of architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems
Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system
Performing engineering activities including development, integration and testing
Influencing, innovating and continuously improving the software engineering process as well as quality, safety and reliability of our products and services
Collaborating proactively with customers, stakeholders, peers and direct reports to understand operational and performance expectations
Support software project management (Jira) and project estimation and planning
Willingness to learn and work with new technologies
Cultivate a positive team culture
This position allows some telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at the listed location. On-site work will be at a minimum of 2-3 days per week.
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
1+ years of experience with automated/robotics/production systems diagnostics and troubleshooting
1+ years of software development experience
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience working with networking, servers, and databases
Experience communicating technical information
Experience working in multidisciplinary teams
Experience supporting automated equipment
Programming experience with .Net, C#, Python, or similar
Experience with computer aided design (CAD) (ex. Catia)
Project management skills
Agile software development experience
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard
