Optum Mammography Technologist in Everett, Washington

  • Signing Bonus - $2500.00

  • This is a per diem position

  • Scheduled based on needs of department

  • Could include opening, closing and weekend shifts Location: Everett, Smokey Point, Bellevue, Mill Creek and EdmondsUnder general supervision, utilize equipment and computer systems to provide patients with quality digital mammograms. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, quality control and the adherence to American College of Radiology and MQSA guidelines. The position requires excellent positioning, communication, organizational, and problem solving skills. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed.   • Consistently performs high quality digital 2D and 3D tomosynthesis screening mammograms.

  • Effectively uses mammography equipment.

  • Effectively uses computer systems (i.e. I site, Epic, Epic Radiant, MRS, and Hologic Manager) and understands how they affect the end result.

  • Performs exams in a timely manner and is able to stay on schedule. 30% Patient Care

  • Fosters an excellent relationship with patients and promotes a positive experience.

  • Obtains and enters accurate health history from the patient.

  • Addresses problems of patient care as they arise and makes decisions appropriately to resolve the problems.

  • Assumes responsibility for the safety and comfort of patients while they are in the mammographer’s care. QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with Digital Mammography Equipment.

  • Experience with PACs/RIS systems. Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel. Excellent communication skills. Excellent patient care skills

  • UnitedHealth Group requires all new hires and employees to report their COVID-19 vaccination status Education : High school diploma, or GED. Experience :

  • One to two years experience screening mammography, preferred.

  • Willing to train if candidate has completed their 40 hours of initial mammography training to meet MQSA and ARRT requirements. Certificate/License : American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification, or Certified Radiology Tech (CRT), preferred.
