Summary You will serve as a Machinist (Bench) in the Machinist Shop (Code 031), Production Resources Department, Everett of PSNS and IMF. Responsibilities You will receive, identify, disassemble and inspect machining parts of shipboard components. You will repair components such as various types of valves, pumps, hydraulic cylinders, actuators, condensers in accordance with specifications dictated by drawings or technical manuals. You will interpret technical manuals, shop directives, blueprints and repair or maintenance manuals to accomplish the disassembly, troubleshoot or repair, assembly and testing of ship components in an inside machine shop environment. You will use precision measuring equipment such as inside and outside micrometers, dial calipers, vernier calipers, telescope gauges, height gauges and must be knowledgeable of the capabilities and machine shop practices.
