SUMMARY: As a Fluid Power Hydraulic Mechanic, your primary responsibility will be to repair, overhaul, and modify hydraulic systems and components for commercial aircraft. This role requires expertise in hydraulic and pneumatic systems troubleshooting and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Demonstrate proficiency in basic plumbing related to hydraulic and pneumatic actuation.
Utilize various equipment and precision tools for hydraulic work, such as multimeters, flow meters, and pressure gauges.
Apply knowledge of hydraulic principles to calculate force, area, and pressure.
Perform installation and retention of seals, O-rings, bearings, and bushings.
Following approved technical data and manuals, perform assigned repair, overhaul, and modification tasks on hydraulic systems and components.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for all work performed.
Collaborate with supervisors to resolve technical questions or problems.
Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of two years of hydraulic maintenance experience in military, aerospace or automotive industry, emphasizing troubleshooting hydraulic/pneumatic systems, required.
Previous experience in an aircraft component back shop a plus.
Airframe and/or Powerplant License preferred.
PHYSICAL EFFORT AND DEXTERITY:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to sit; use their hands and arms; and talk or hear; and focus on objects close up. The employee will also be required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Compensation
The full base pay range for this position is $21.50 – $33.00 (expressed as hourly for non-exempt), exclusive of benefits or potential bonuses. The lower end of the range represents the target base pay for those beginning or developing in the role. The higher end of the range is intended for those who have mastered the role, with proven significant expertise, high achievement, and specialized skills. If you are hired at ATS, your hourly rate will be based on factors including skills, education and experience. In addition to those factors – we consider internal equity of our current employees when determining offers. This position is eligible for an annual bonus. We also offer a generous benefits package, as detailed below.
