M-Th 3:30 PM- 12:30 AM and every other Friday 3:30 Pm- 11:30 PM

$20-$23/HR

Job Description

The General Technician will set up and operate non-complex honing and other machines to perform various machine functions. The duties include, but are not limited to, the following tasks under the guidance of a mentor or supervisor:

  • Calculate and set manual machine controls to position the spindle in relation to the workpiece

  • Select and set cutting tools, cutting depths, speeds, and feeds required to produce parts per drawing requirements

  • Be proficient in the use of precision measuring tools, such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, and height gauges

  • Understand the deburr process in its entirety

  • Run jobs in the order set by the scheduler or lead

  • Ensure that parts meet print and work order standards, and maintain daily clean-up

  • Maintain SPC requirements

  • Count, properly box, and move work orders, parts, and magnets to the next operation, and update work order location on the computer

  • Log set-up and run information in the daily log book

  • Actively suggest ideas for process improvements and cost savings

  • Follow all environmental health and safety policies and procedures, modeling safe work practices

  • Support a positive and respectful workplace environment

  • Perform other duties as assigned

This is a fully on-site position in Everett, Washington.

Work Environment

Aerospace manufacturing and production machine shop. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
