Insight Global Equipment Repair Technician in Everett, Washington

Job Description

The Equipment Repair Technician performs electronic, electromechanical, or mechanical repairs under close supervision. Duties include disassembly, cleaning, troubleshooting, repair, and assembly of aircraft components to meet specifications and customer requirements. The technician uses blueprints, instructions, parts lists, and diagrams to assemble, wire, and install units. They interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, wiring diagrams, schematics, and drawings. Tools used include soldering irons, wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, hammers, balancing and grinding machines, and precision measuring instruments. The technician inspects, tests, and adjusts units to ensure they meet specifications. Skills and Requirements

-Two years' experience in assembly operations, or experience performing tear down, troubleshooting and overhaul & repair duties.

  • Mechanical skills and a basic understanding of electronics

  • Experience in reading electrical test instruments.

  • The ability to prioritize and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills including basic conversational and written English; reading comprehension (understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents).

  • good attendance at work

  • Experience working with computers and the Internet.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required - Experience in an FAA 145 Repair Station is a plus null
