Summary You will serve as an ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the Engineering Contract Management Oversight and Intermediate Level Maintenance Planning Branch (Code 242.1), Engineering and Planning Department (Code 200) of Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS and IMF) located in Everett, WA. Responsibilities You will review the Lead Maintenance Activity (LMA) work specifications ensuring technical compliance to existing NAVSEA and higher level requirements. You will review Technical Work Documents (TWD) prepared by PSNS and IMF Code 242.1 I-level planners for technical requirements. You will be responsible for the technical oversight of work and testing in execution from a wide variety of executing activities. You will ensure all underway testing requirements are identified and properly scheduled. You will provide assistance in resolving problems that may arise, such as conflicting events, work sequencing or resource allocation problems. You will prepare reports and maintain records of work accomplishment and administrative information as required. You will act as the project team authority for work item and project certification as described by PSNS and IMF local policy as well as NAVSEA Standards. You will compile, evaluate, and recommend corrective action for certification process or procedural deficiencies discovered during execution. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing technical engineering advisory services and planning support for the testing and evaluation of engineering projects related to shipboard systems to ensure project works meet technical standards and compliance.
