About the job:

The Director of National Accounts is a high impact, hands-on operational leadership role that will lead, develop and maintain the National team sales function. The selected candidate is experienced, self-motivated, goal-oriented, and possesses the skill to identify business needs, qualify opportunities, present value, overcome objectives, close sales and record activity. This position is responsible for the performance, strategy, and alignment of revenue growth and development in the company. This is a results-driven position, with a high degree of accountability. The ideal candidate is a proven leader with the ability to adapt and understand how to we improve customer engagement and organizational growth processes; owning process, people & results – creating & influencing at a very high level.

    Essential Functions:

  • Lead the development of the account strategy in order to maximize profitability, revenue growth and market share in the context of the broader retail channel strategy and business plan

  • Develop and foster partnership with senior stakeholders within account in order to drive category growth and create mutual value for customers and for RANDYS

  • Provide inspirational leadership and direction to direct report team and ensure the continued development and management of a professional and efficient organization

  • Lead with compelling strategic vision that is in alignment with the Company’s short and long-term goals and strategic plan

  • Negotiate and close new business agreements with large national prospects

  • Leverage customer insight and constantly monitor the competitive landscape and market conditions to identify opportunities, issues, and risks in order to recommend strategies and tactics

  • Orchestrate all aspects of a strategic National sales plan. Combine existing expertise in sales, marketing, technology and management to deliver a superior brand and shopping experience for all customers

  • Develops annual budget plans by chain/account – tracks and reports progress regularly (weekly / monthly / quarterly / annually)

  • Act as liaison for internal and external communications with assigned accounts; manage ongoing conference calls and ensure a positive relationship with assigned accounts.


  • Knowledge of Automotive market is a plus

  • Demonstrated experience working within a branded B2B environment with exposure to large scale projects and cross-functional, non-reporting team involvement

  • Experience using MS Suite of products, including MS SQL and XML. Must have advanced-level proficiency in Excel: vlook ups, matchkey, pivot tables, sumifs, indexes, macros

  • Advanced understanding of the strategic sale and what is required to successfully sell complex clinical solutions

  • A passion for sales and a drive to stay up to date on trends within the industry and selling methodologies

    Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience, or a combination of both

  • 5+ years of progressively responsible work experience in managing large accounts and a complex book of business

  • 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in leading and developing teams

  • Seasoned professional in the retailing market, B2B and B2C experience a plus
