PrimeFlight Aviation Services Deicing Operations Manager in Everett, Washington

Description

The Deicing Operations Manager, must possess the ability to work effectively in a team environment, partnering with senior management, and is accountable for the following essential functions:

· Assist General Manager with the day to day activities of the deicing operations

· Responsible for assisting with oversight of all deicing operations, fluid management, and readiness of resources

· Maintain and ensure adherence to company safety policies, standards and procedures

· Prioritizing workplace safety with established metrics and Service Level Agreements

· Ensure all information needed for internal, airlines and airport deicing reports are completed as required

· Responsible for ensuring all aircraft are properly deiced / anti-iced

· Assist General Manager with financial performance goals of location including planning manpower, equipment, fluid and facilities

· Excel at operational performance of locations

· Focus on client relationships and contract retention as well as the Airport Authority

· Adhere to any local deicing procedures to include the Station Readiness and customer specific requirements

· Coordinate deicing operations with Airport Operations, customer airlines and internal departments

· Respond to customer requests for information, coordinate audits as applicable and customer operational visits

· Review Safety Management System (SMS) for station standards with the Quality Management System (QMS) on a regular basis and address any areas of concern

· Achieving monthly performance metrics and all Service Level Agreements

· Assist with the Recruitment process- interview, training and hiring process of employees as required

· Oversight of required deicing training to include classroom, on the job and airline specific training as required

· Be a positive role model to all personnel and the airport community

· Establish effective leadership organization for the deicing operation to manage personnel and resources

· Identifying and securing new business opportunities

· Carry out other duties as assigned

· Represent with best intent the business priorities and professional posture of the PrimeFlight customer(s)

Responsibilities:

· Foster a safe working environment. Hold employees accountable for the safety audit performance and all operational metrics

· Meet administrative requirements as established

· Coordinate new local account start-ups

· Resolve promptly all service issues in problem areas to ensure contract retention.

· Report all service discrepancies and incidents to Senior Management immediately.

· Share the action plan and success factors with the customers

· Perform all necessary supervisory functions to effectively and efficiently manage assigned personnel. Personnel duties include:

o Maintain a qualified and appropriately trained staff

o Communicate areas of accountability and performance expectations to assigned personnel

o Determine standards of performance as a basis to review progress of personnel

o Recommend salary adjustments, transfers, promotions, and terminations

o Ensure proper training of assigned personnel

o Foster a safe, cooperative and harmonious working climate conducive to maximizing employee morale and productivity

o Lead in a pro-active, continuous improvement method

· Adapt to, positively adopt and promote any changes in corporate policy and procedures

· Directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and discipline, coach and counsel employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems

· Maintain and foster for success the working relationship with all the customers associated with the business unit

· Within the established airport’s community, be the “face and advocate” for the PrimeFlight customer(s)

· Attend meetings, events on behalf of the PrimeFlight customer(s), displaying professionalism with customers best interest in mind at all times

· Meet or exceed all established Key Performance Indicators and Service Level Agreements

· Demonstrate regular, predictable attendance at job location

· Exceed PrimeFlight customer service and safety standards

· Expertise with FAA and customer airlines deicing requirements and procedures

General Qualifications:

· 18 years of age or older

· Reliable transportation

· Valid State Driver’s License with a verifiable safe vehicle operating record.

· Eligible to work in the United States

Compensation:

The pay rate listed on this post is what the company reasonably expects to pay for this position. However, individual compensation may vary based on factors including qualifications, skills, competencies, education, and experience.

Education/Experience:

Associate’s degree or higher. High school diploma or equivalent may be substituted with four years relevant experience.

· 3-5 years of experience with deicing operations in a leadership role required

· Familiar with Dispatching Tools and Wiseleap Technology or equivalent

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English. Ability to communicate effectively in English.

· Ability to speak in public and conduct group presentations

Math Ability:

Ability to understand and analyze financial operations, profit and loss statements, customer invoices, and other mathematical functions necessary to managing the airport operation.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Computer Skills:

Demonstrated proficiency in Word, Excel, Online Timekeeping and Outlook, sufficient to write letters, organize schedules, and perform other tasks related to payroll and operations. Familiarity with Wiseleap Deicing Technology is a plus.

Certificates and Licenses:

Valid State Driver’s License with a verifiable safe vehicle operating record.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Direct or indirect supervision of all on-site PrimeFlight Deicing personnel.
