Indigo Real Estate Services, Inc. is recruiting for a Community Director in Everett Washington. We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented, self-starter who enjoys a fast-paced work environment and takes ownership in all aspects of work.

Job Requirements:

  • Responsible for all aspects of efficient property operations.

  • Responsible for composing and managing annual budget.

  • Oversee submission of all invoices and bids.

  • Investigate and resolve resident issues and complaints.

  • Development and implementation of strategies and programs to promote retention, lease renewal and ensure long-term residency.

  • Managing and implementing marketing strategy to include online ad sources, social media, signage, community outreach, referrals, among others.

  • Promote good public relations with residents, co-workers, and company employees, vendors and goodwill to the public through a people first approach and trust representing the brand and company.

  • Responsible for maintaining accurate accounting for site level revenue and expenses.

  • On time and accurate reporting

  • Able to make recommendations for revenue and rent increases and implementing those strategies.

  • Promote a team based environment with both leasing office and maintenance associates.

  • Responsible for all on-site personnel including training and job performance.

  • Daily property walks and daily vacant walks

  • Manage Action Items / Pursuit notes

  • Meet or exceed budget expectations and communicate a proactive plan if anything will be over or under budget

  • Interview, recommend and hire to build a team

  • Train, develop, mentor, set expectations, inspect what you expect, give immediate thoughtful feedback, and be proactive on Performance Management

  • Complete Annual Reviews for yourself, supervisor, peer-to-peer and Maintenance Team in accordance with company standards

  • Always display a respectful, professional, friendly and courteous attitude

  • Assist as needed in coordinating status of make-readies with leasing staff

  • Complete special projects as may be assigned by Investment Manager/Director/Vice President and/or client ownership.

  • Maintain community’s customer base with an effective resident retention program

  • Generates/reviews weekly, monthly, and financial reporting

  • Maintain accurate resident files and organization through lease file audits.

  • Communicate with residents on their work order progress or delays

  • Maintain low delinquency by collecting rents and fees in an efficient and timely manner.

  • Handle evictions and landlord liens.


  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Business, Community or Property Manager; 3-5 years preferred in industry

  • Working knowledge of Yardi/AMSI or other property management software preferred

  • Experience and understanding of Outlook, Word, & Excel

  • Ability to exercise quick and accurate judgment and maintain confidentiality

  • Effective in conflict resolution and customer service

  • Effectively prioritizes numerous requests and incoming information, ensuring appropriate level of response and urgency is given to each

  • An effective and proactive problem-solver, able to analyze all situations thoroughly in order to anticipate problems before they arise

  • Ability to set priorities with a strong attention to detail

  • Able to manage multiple-step procedures and handle frequent interruptions in work flow and work under pressure to meet firm and changing deadlines

  • Must be articulate and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Superior grammar and spelling. This role involves frequent interaction with all levels in the company including senior executives inside and outside of Indigo
