AIC CMM Programmer - Manufacturing Engineer in Everett, Washington

Contract: 6 months to hire possible Direct Hire Salary: Negotiable Location: Everett, WA U.S. Citizens and those authorized to work in the U.S. are encouraged to apply. Summary: Stable and Growing Aerospace Company in the Everett, WA area, our client is currently looking for a Manufacturing Engineer with CMM Programming expertise in using CMM Software. Candidate needs to have the mechanical aptitude and the ability to help analyze and trouble shoot manufacturing issues when needed. Candidates need to have minimum 2 years of related work experience and a Bachelor's Degree or 8 years of Machinist and CMM programming experience. Prior experience in Aerospace is preferred. Essential Duties and Responsibilities for the Manufacturing Engineer II / CMM Programmer : To program CMM inspection machines, designs tooling and fixtures for CMM inspection of castings and complex shaped parts. To coordinate, design and implement CMM processes to measure parts per customer requirements. Creates inspection plans to insure part dimensions meet requirements through manufacturing plan. Supports improvements to production processes, methods and controls. Participates in manufacturing launch and cross-functional support for new or revised products and/or programs. Collaborate with manufacturing and quality personnel as needed on technical issues. Responsible for maintaining an organized file system for CMM Production Programs. To operate CMM machines and program using CMM Manager software. Communicate with Tooling, QA, Engineering and Manufacturing regarding customer drawing requirements. Monitors in-process CMM programs and responds to errors and emergency problems. Works within specifications provided to meet programming assignment goals and objectives in a timely and accurate manner. Maintains integrity of CMM program logic and coding, establishes required checks and balances for operational controls. Keeps up-to-date with knowledge of CMM computer operating procedures and operating standards. Produce CMM procedural documentation as required. Designs tooling for holding complex parts on CMM inspection machines. Writes and maintains inspection plans. Supports shop continuous improvement, lean manufacturing and daily management activities (Kata). Support assigned training programs for shop employees and other production engineers as applicable. Responsible for maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe work environment. Maintain and monitor SPC (Statistical Process Control). Perform specific projects under supervision as assigned by manager. Safety glasses, hard toe shoes, and hearing protection are required when on the shop floor. Qualifications for the Manufacturing Engineer II / CMM Programmer: Minimum 2 years' work experience and Bachelors in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering or Minimum 8 years' experience as a Machinist and/or CMM programmer in a manufacturing setting. Experience in tool designing and fixtures for CMM inspection. 5 years of experience with CAD programs such as SolidWorks. Understanding of complex assemblies of machined components and/or electrical equipment. Complete understanding of GD&T dimensioning and familiarity with engineering drawing terminology. General knowledge of Manufacturing Processes Proficient in MS Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Dynamics 365. Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in the Aerospace Industry. Programming experience with gear analyzers. Lean and/or Six-Sigma Certification
