Job Summary
The Clinical Nursing Supervisor is responsible for and oversees the day-to-day functions of the Registered Nurse team, including assessing and assisting in the development of clinical programs that support the nursing function. Provides supervision to the clinical Registered Nurse team, including assisting with recruiting, hiring, scheduling, timekeeping, training, coaching, evaluating, and discipline. Prepares and presents timely performance reviews. Identifies and plans for Clinical RN staffing needs and proactively takes appropriate action. Works with other members of the team to promote clinical quality and assists the Clinical Quality RN Manager in problem solving. Plans and evaluates multidisciplinary, process improvements relating to the clinical nursing team including quality of clinical care/practice/service. Recommends policy and procedure changes to improve nursing processes, delivery of quality care, and patient outcomes using clinical knowledge base. Responsible for the development and delivery of nursing education in specialty areas from basic to advanced practice levels. Maintains and enhances a variety of databases, statistics and reports relating to the nursing role. This position provides supervision to designated staff.

Education
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Associate's degree in Nursing.
Experience
- Not less than a 0.5 Full Time Equivalent (FTE) of patient care within field of training within the past year.
- Supervisory experience at the department level to include evaluation and training of employees; problem solving initiative; and collaboration in program development (1 year). In lieu of direct supervisory experience has acted in a mentorship capacity in related field (2 years)
Preferred:
- Clinical experience in an ambulatory or acute-care setting (3 years).
- Healthcare information systems, such as electronic health record and practice management systems experience.
- Experience in a multiple provider medical practice.
- Working with low income, multi-ethnic populations.
* Credentials*
- Registered Nurse license with the State of Washington
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (CPR/AED). Certification must be obtained within forty-five (45) days of employment.
Preferred:
- Membership of the American Nurses Association (ANA).
Other
Driver's license with the State of Washington.
