Accountant I or II (AP Accountant) (DOQ) $70,803 - $111,028 Job #15790

 

Basic Responsibilities Supports the timely, accurate and complete accounting of business activity and transactional data as a shared service for the District. Learns and applies business processes that ensure the District remains in compliance with accounting laws, regulations, and internal directives. Support with research and analysis for the development of business processes that impact the District's ability to account for assets, taxes, accounts payable, and maintain the general ledger effectively. Supports internal controls over compliance, financial reporting, business applications and data governance. Identifies and supports business process improvement initiatives. Supports the District's core values as well is its cost and fiscal management strategic priorities.

 

Minimum Qualifications

Accountant I

  • Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field;

OR

  • Active CPA or CMA License, 

OR

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field

OR

  • Associate's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field, AND
  • Two (2) years of progressively more responsible payroll, accounting, or finance experience

Accountant II

  • Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field;

OR

  • Active CPA or CMA License, AND
  • Two (2) years of progressively more responsible payroll, accounting, or finance experience;

OR

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field, AND
  • Two (2) years of progressively more responsible payroll, accounting, or finance experience;

OR

  • Associate's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field, AND
  • Four (4) years of progressively more responsible payroll, accounting, or finance experience.
