Job Summary Central Washington University is recruiting our next Vice President of Equity and Belonging and Senior Diversity Officer to join CWU's Executive Leadership Team in Ellensburg, Washington. The role is a campus-based position, which means you get to see the lives you are impacting. The Role: The Vice President for Equity and Belonging (VPEB) and Senior Diversity Officer sustains and enhances the university's cultural competence through elevating our work to become a learning community of equity and belonging. Partnering with the Executive VP for Academic Affairs, the VP for Student Engagement and Success, and the AVP Human Resources, the VPEB builds bridges to advance education, training, and professional development for faculty, staff, students, and administrators around issues of diversity, inclusion, belonging, identity, anti-racism, social justice, and equity. The VPEB collaborates with faculty, staff, students, and administrators to identify and change inequitable systems and structures through policy revision, strategy development, and training. This position serves as key advisor to and thought partner with the President on strategies to advance diversity, inclusion, equity, anti-racism, and belonging across the university. The VPEB also supervises the staff within the Office of Equity and Belonging.
