Job SummaryCentral Washington University is recruiting a Director of Donor Stewardship to join our Advancement team in Ellensburg, Washington. This role is an important member of our team as they responsible for leading, designing, implementing and strategic management of a comprehensive donor stewardship program for donors to CWU Foundation and for the University. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Advancement Services, the Director will develop a comprehensive stewardship plan for donors at all levels, and work collaboratively with colleagues around the university to deliver timely and impactful opportunities to thank and recognize donors for their support of CWU and our students. The Director has the freedom to innovate, create new programs and be a leader in further developing a culture of philanthropy at CWU. The Director will ultimately manage a junior events coordinator position and be responsible for managing a variety of university events that play a significant role in stewarding donor impact. This includes directing efforts to enhance the overall giving experience for CWU donors and demonstrate the impact of their support. The Director will manage a team to conduct this work; work with Advancement leadership and development officers on specific donor stewardship strategies in accordance with the fiduciary responsibilities; and manage a program of donor recognition gift societies and donor engagement and stewardship events.
