The Role: This position performs custodial duties to maintain cleanliness and care of facilities within assigned areas, including the Student Union, Dining areas, Recreation Center, and the Wildcat Shop, ensuring departmental standards are met. This position uses equipment, hand tools, and cleaning chemicals to maintain event, dining, and public areas through floor and carpet care, cleaning interior and exterior windows, furniture upkeep, trash removal, restroom upkeep, seasonal projects, and other duties as assigned. This position provides backup and support to the Student Union Operations team as needed. All employees are expected to support CWU's commitment to diversity and to bring and support inclusion into the university environment. Job Duties Public Areas: - Sweep, mop, and machine scrub tile, concrete, stairs, and waxed floors as well as vacuum carpets and spot clean spills/stains. - Disinfect and clean seating and table areas including surfaces, feet, cushions, and other components related to those areas. - Empty and maintain trash receptacles, transporting trash and recycling to appropriate collection sites. - Maintain entrances, cleaning glass and doors as well as vacuuming and cleaning carpets. - Dusting surfaces throughout facility. - Maintain entrances and patios by sweeping debris, using leaf blower, pressure washing, washing tabletops, removing snow and ice, and picking up trash. - Clean and maintain Dining areas including wiping down tables, vacuuming carpets, scrubbing floors, emptying and cleaning trash receptacles, and removing grease from floors. - Project cleaning during breaks including wax removal, applying wax, carpet extraction, furniture extraction/cleaning, and surface restoration. - Stock and maintain supplies in custodial closets and other Student Union and Dining work areas. - Maintain Building Security: Lock and unlock rooms/spaces as needed. - Se
