Job Summary Central Washington University is recruiting an Assistant Professor of Safety and Health Management to join our Engineering Technologies, Safety, and Construction team in Ellensburg, Washington. Learn more: CWU Benefits, Perks & Discounts Overview The Role: Central Washington University, located in Ellensburg, WA, seeks a nine-month, full time, tenure-track, Assistant Professor to teach in the Safety and Health Management (SHM) Program. CWU offers Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Safety and Health Management as well as a minor and certificates. The primary modality of the curriculum is in-person, lecture/laboratory, with some online instruction. We seek an individual demonstrating dedication to innovation and excellence in teaching and a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusiveness. The goal of the program is to prepare students for careers in occupational safety and health in the industrial, private business, construction, and public employment sectors of the economy. Faculty will integrate CWU's commitment to diversity in teaching, scholarship, and service, and create a learning environment that is welcoming, accessible, and inclusive for all students. Minimum Qualifications Please address in your cover letter: Master's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health, Environmental Management, Public Health, or related area. Non-related master's degree and significant industry experience in safety also encouraged to apply. Minimum three years of applied industry experience in occupational safety and health, or industrial hygiene. Professional work experience, research, teaching, service, or other experience that has prepared the candidate to contribute to CWU's commitment to the engagement and inclusion of culturally diverse students.
