The Role: The Adventure Programs Senior Coordinator supervises, manages, and oversees Outdoor Programs, Outdoor Pursuits & Rentals - Rental & Service Shop, and Climbing Wall operations and staff. This position plans and directs comprehensive recreation programs by expanding upon current offerings and ensuring successful implementation of risk management practices, including oversight of Adventure Programs financials. This position is expected to enhance University Recreation's mission statement and commitment to student success and development. Specific program responsibilities include program and staff management, development and oversight of operating budgets, development, monitoring and enforcement of program policies and procedures, administration of revenue collection and facility management. All employees are expected to support CWU's commitment to diversity and to bring and support inclusion into the university environment. Job Duties Outdoor Pursuits and Rentals - Rental & Service Shop Operations - Manage the daily operations and store front of OPR Rental & Service Shop. - Organize and maintain an expansive fleet of summer and winter outdoor recreation rental equipment. - Coordinate and administer program marketing efforts. - Determine and recommend the purchase of needed equipment and supplies. - Ensures programs are in compliance with department and university policies, and with appropriate federal, state, regulations, guidelines, and/or industry standards. - Manages annual budget for the OPR program. Regularly monitors expenditures, completes fiscal paperwork, and ensures adherence to university fiscal processes.
