Mohawk ESV, Inc. Jr Environmental Compliance Specialist- Seattle in Edmonds, Washington

GHD has an opportunity for a Jr. Environmental Compliance Specialist to join our EHS Compliance Team at our Seattle, Washington office! You will work on technical projects for clients in the manufacturing, technology and mining industries throughout the Western United States. We are seeking self-motivated and active professionals with strong technical skills, and local regulatory knowledge, who value building relationships with clients and the community! You'll need to be flexible in your approach to challenges and have a strong ability to think laterally in delivering technical solutions.Responsibilities for the position will be but are not limited to:* Complete environmental compliance and due diligence projects, including:* Permit application development and support (e.g., air, stormwater, wastewater, etc.)* Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plan development and updates* Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP), and Hazardous Waste Contingency Plans (HWCP)* Hazardous waste generator reporting* Emergency Planning Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA) evaluations and reporting (i.e., Form R, Tier II, etc.)* Environmental compliance auditing* Phase I Environmental Site Assessments* Complete applicability determinations associated with local, state, and federal environmental regulations* Comprehend and interpret environmental regulations* Develop client proposalsQualifications:* B.S. degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field* Minimum 2 years professinal experience* Ability to travel up to 20-30% each month* Technical writing skills, organizational skills, and proficiency with MS applications* Environmental compliance experience (Preferred, but not required)* Knowledge of environmental regulations affecting industry (Preferred, but not required)* OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER training (Preferred, but not required)As a multicultural organization, we encourage individual achievement and recognize the strength of a diverse workforce.
