THE ROLE Firewalk Studios is looking for a Build Engineer who is interested in applying their skills to help bring exceptional entertainment to millions of players. As our Build Engineer, you would help build and maintain our build infrastructure for regular releases of our game. This individual will also help expand our build capabilities as our game evolves and grows. WHO YOU ARE Care deeply about creating and fostering healthy and strong teams. WHAT YOUR DAY MIGHT LOOK LIKE Co-own the build pipeline infrastructure and support incremental improvements/changes requested by the development teams. Collaborate with the studio engineering leadership and central teams to develop a sustainable, scalable strategy and roadmaps. Work closely with the DevOps, LiveOps and Release management team to support the multiple perforce branches, development and integration workflows and automation. Help investigate daily build related issues, perform necessary updates/maintenance. Develop build health and usage analytics dashboards and share them with the team. Recommend continual optimizations to the build pipeline based on the phase of project. QUALIFICATIONS 2+ years of experience working as a Build or Automation Engineer. 2+ years of experience with Unreal Engine and its Build Pipeline/Automation toolset. Experience in C++, C#, common scripting languages (Python, Groovy etc.), bug tracking software like JIRA. Experience working with Perforce (branches/streams) preferred or equivalent source control software platforms. Familiarity with branch management strategies, common scripting languages (Python, Groovy etc.) Familiarity with data analytics platforms such as Datadog, Looker or equivalent.
