Job Summary and Responsibilities The Data Center Installer is responsible for providing high-quality service in all customer technical spaces, including, but not limited to data centers, mobile telephone switch centers, central office wire centers, and designated enterprise spaces. The installer is required to take excellent care of our customers, build relationships, question things, work hard, work smart, and enjoy the experience. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Installation of telecommunications equipment and associated infrastructure per customer standards. Act as a customer contact. Interface with customers and local supervisors to clarify project status. Work well within a team and demonstrate some leadership ability. Plan and layout installation activities to meet dates and budgeted hours. Oversee other personnel when required. The work will involve the installation of power, fiber and switchboard cable, and telecommunications equipment in Data Center and other Telecom facilities. Installers should be familiar with and/or are trained with iron work/bays/equipment rack installation, blueprint/schematic reading. Physically placing, removing, or modifying non-working equipment Cable trays and/or racking Data Equipment cabinets and frames Data Servers, Switches, Routers, Repeaters, Bridges, Gateways, Multiplexers, Transceivers, Firewalls Fuse Panels Able to manage team members Physically routing the cables that supply AC and/or DC power or transmit data in various technical spaces Identify, label, and terminate cables that supply AC and/or DC power or transmit data Conduct test and document performance characteristics of hardware and software Resolve equipment / technical issues Review, analyze, and interpret work orders, drawings, records, and manuals Perform quality validation on in-process and completed work Interact with all members of the organization; Installation, Engineering and Project Management Performs other duties as requested by Manager Review, analyze, and interpret work orders, drawings, records, and manuals Perform quality validation on in-process and completed work Interact with all members of the organization; Installation, Engineering and Project Management Performs other duties as requested by Manager Qualifications EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent, technical or college degree preferred Four years of experience Proficient in use of Microsoft programs and applications Proficient in use of IOS and/or Android applications Must be able to demonstrate valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
