Grakon LLC Warehouse Group Leader in Des Moines, Washington

Methode Electronics is seeking a Warehouse Group Leader to assist our Grakon Customer Service/Warehouse Manager in coordinating and training a team of workers engaged in shipping or receiving activities. This includes responsibility for material handling from accepting incoming materials and stocking into a designated area to coordinating all outbound shipments including creating packing slips and labels in anticipation of designated pick-up times.Methode requires all new hires to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 but will make reasonable accommodations for those who cannot receive a COVID vaccination due to a disability, a religious reason, or pregnancy.Responsibilities:Maintain neat and orderly work areas and observe all safety rulesTrain new/existing employees when new projects/clients are introducedHelp interpret process flow specifications for employees.Interface with employees to coordinate instructions and exchanges with team/groupMonitor daily workloads and/or assignments to help adjust accordinglyMaintain correct inventoryMaintain and monitory our FIFO processPerform basic functions of CMS softwareMaintain work area, rack aisles, and loading docks, keeping areas clean and well organizedMonitor employees/group to help keep a safe work environmentHelp enforce all safety rules set at our locationHelp with internal inventory counts and inventories set yearly by corporateAssist manager when changes to work area occurHelp with general housekeeping both inside/outside the warehouseOther duties as assignedQualifications:High school diploma/GED requiredFull capable operating powered lift trucks and other material moversKnowledge of MRP/ERP systemsMust possess basic math skillsPrior related shipping and receiving experience preferredMust have good communication skill and be reasonably proficient in reading, writing, and speaking EnglishUnderstand operational pace and need for assignments to be completed timelyProven ability to overcome obstacles and get resultsAbility to work independentlyMust occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 poundsWhere permitted by applicable law, must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, if not currently employed by Methode Electronics, Inc.
