Position Seasonal Returns Processing Rep

Compensation: $19.00 an hour

About this role

Outdoor Research is looking for an energetic, consumer focused individual to join the Consumer Services team. This position is seasonal and reports to the Returns Supervisor in addition to working with both the consumer services team and the warehouse team. The Seasonal Returns Processing Rep will handle all inbound returns that arrive in our Des Moines, WA warehouse. This work entails a keen eye for detail and organization to meticulously maintain inventory. We focus on doing this in a timely, accurate and professional manner.

We pride ourselves on having some of the best consumer service around and our returns department plays a big role in that service. The ultimate responsibility of the Seasonal Returns Processing Rep is to maintain a precise and trusted processing window in which our customers funds are returned, and inventory is placed back into accurate stock locations

What you will do

  • Process warranty, web and dealer returns in a timely, professional, and positive manner.

  • Process returns per department procedures, ensuring proper codes are utilized to ensure accurate separation of new vs used stock.

  • Double check goods processed when posting product back into inventory.

  • Sort and put away items in the warehouse once processing is completed.

  • Proactively communicate persistent quality control issues to the Returns Supervisor.

  • Prioritize daily tasks and projects to accomplish job duties on time and with a high level of accuracy.

  • Strong critical thinking skills.

  • Gain in-depth knowledge and understanding of all Outdoor Research products and the brand story through participation in on-site and off-site product training events and clinics

    Position Requirements

What you should bring to the table:

  • H.S Diploma or equivalent experience

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, flexibility, and the ability to work independently

  • Familiarity with Outdoor Research Products or with the outdoor industry a plus

  • Good computer skills with spreadsheets, word processing and MS Office Suite

  • Ability to type 50 WPM or more a plus

  • Strong teamwork skills

  • Self-managed and self-motivated

  • Ability to maintain excellent attendance and punctuality record

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Strong ability to multitask effectively
