Guest Services, Inc Bartender/Expeditor in Davenport, Washington

JOB SUMMARYThe Bartender/Expeditor is responsible for serving all guests beverages in a fast, courteous and efficient manner and must ensure correct billing procedures and provide excellent service to guests, ensuring level of service meets the Company's standards. The Bartender/Expeditor should be able to properly mix alcoholic drinks for guests over 21 years old, as required by law and is responsible for grouping together and accounting for dining room food orders from cook stations, garnishing and completing plate presentation. The Bartender/Expeditor serves as communication conduit between dining room and culinary staff.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS* Pour, mix, and serve drinks following standard recipes* Maintain the liquor, garnishes, glassware and other supplies or inventory for the bar.* Set up garnish station for plate presentation; stock appropriate dishes and utensils as required* Fill drink and food orders either taken directly from patrons at the bar or through servers.* Communicate with pantry and line cooks regarding soup du jour, specials, and "outed" items; relay that information accurately and promptly to dining room staff* Communicate with kitchen porter and utility staff to maintain appropriate dish stock* Ensure proper maintenance, rotation of food products, and cleanliness of work areas* Ensure plates are delivered to correct servers with proper presentation; minimize production waste* Assist in maintaining kitchen sanitation and equipment cleaning schedule; clean station thoroughly after shift* Adhere to food safety guidelines including ServSafe and HACCP* Check identification of customers who order alcoholic beverages* Take payment from customers.* Check identification of customers who order alcoholic beverages.* Clean all bar equipment, tools, and supplies. Ensure equipment is in good working order.* Maintain awareness of safety issues, and report them immediately to your manager.* Attend and participate in safety meetings* Performs such other related duties as directed or requiredSKILL AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE* Partial High School education; High School Diploma/G.E.D. equivalent preferred* Able to coordinate communication with multiple people and stations and maintain proper plate service with easy and accuracy* Possess or be able to successfully complete ServSafe certification; strong sanitation skills* Possess knowledge of or be able to learn culinary terms and practices; able to prepare basic items by following recipesPHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS* Must be at least 21 years of age, as required by law.* Move about to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the unit.
