Job Description Summary Drives battery powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices such as forklift and clamps to lift, stack, tier or move products, equipment, or materials by performing the following duties. Job Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Must be able to steer, move levers and press pedals to drive truck forward and backwards and control movement of lifting apparatus. * Position forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials and transports load to designated area. * Unload and stacks material by raising and lowering forks, lifting loaded forks to a safe elevation. * Inventories materials on work floor, and supply workers with materials as needed. * Loads and unloads materials onto or off lifting device with pallets or skids. * Assures the battery is charged, reports and records any malfunctions on maintenance check list, including fire extinguisher. Changes battery and records battery changes on assigned lift truck at regularly scheduled times. * Keeps record of supplies delivered, maintains work sheets, tier counts, checks manifests, maintains and keeps other records as required. * Responsible for bringing materials (i.e. freezer suits, gloves, etc.) needed for all job locations every day. You must have the ability to write simple correspondence and to effectively communicate in English commensurate with the requirements of this position. Certificates, Licenses, Registration: Applicant must have a valid Washington Driver's License and must have a valid Lift Truck Operator's License.
